  • Betrayal and the True Face of Emotions

Betrayal is often thought of only as cheating or lying. Yet true betrayal is the deception of our emotions. It is when someone shows us a different face, making us believe in a sincerity that never truly existed.

One of the greatest misconceptions in human relationships is the expectation that love will always be mutual. When we love someone, we assume they will love us back. But love can be one-sided. Wanting to possess something does not mean it will belong to us. Our emotions may desire someone, while that person may not desire us in return.

Over time, new people enter our lives. Perhaps the emotions we once gave to someone who did not reciprocate are later felt toward us by another. In this shift, roles change: the one who once gave feelings to the wrong person may now become the wrong person for someone else.

This cycle is part of the nature of human relationships. Sometimes we waste our emotions on the wrong person, and sometimes others waste theirs on us. This does not diminish our value; it simply means the right match has not yet occurred.

No relationship is perfect. Flaws, gaps, and excesses are part of the natural flow of emotions. Betrayal, disappointment, and rebirth are inevitable stops along the journey of the heart.
