One of life’s greatest illusions is clinging to the past even though we cannot change it. Sometimes, while living today, the mind wanders through yesterday’s regrets, dreams of tomorrow, yet truly belongs to none.
The past is a time we no longer hold. We cannot intervene, we cannot alter it. Yet many people live in yesterday and miss today. When they postpone today while planning for tomorrow, they lose their future too. Because the future is built upon today.
Think about it: if we keep lingering on “what ifs,” the “tomorrow” we imagine never arrives. The future is shaped by the decisions we make today. Living in the past is like canceling the future.
That’s why the greatest responsibility of a person is to embrace today. Neither chained to the past nor hiding in the uncertainty of tomorrow. Because today is both the result of yesterday and the beginning of tomorrow.
